Sonshine Choir

The Sonshine Choir is comprised of kids from kindergarten to second grade (ages 4 to 8). The choir is directed by Yoshiko Yerkes and accompanied by Susan Canjura. They practice on Sunday mornings from 11:30 am until 12:20 pm in the Second Grade room of the Education Building. Children should be picked up promptly at 12:20 pm. Kindergardeners finish early and should be picked up in their regular Sunday school room.

Each week, the words they need to learn will be handed out. Parents should help their kids learn the words to these songs so that even children who can not read can be active participants in choir. Parents are also asked to pray for their child and all the other children in the Sonshine Choir on a regular basis.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to go to the second grade room before or after rehersal and ask.

Thank you to all those who prayed for Yoshi. She is now done with chemo.

Coming Up in Sonshine Choir

Rehearsal each week unless otherwise noted. Continue to check the calender of events for upcoming performances.

What is After Sonshine Choir?

For second graders, the end of the year marks the end of Sunshine Choir. However, it does not mark the end of being in choir. After their final year in Sunshine Choir, second graders can enter the Carol Choir as third graders! It is a fun experience that will help them learn more about the Lord through song.
