Book Review

Horrible Harry and the Mud Gremlins by Suzy Kline

Do you know anyone horrible? How about Horrible Harry? Harry is in third grade, and even though is basically a nice kid, he often causes trouble. One day, Harry comes to school wearing a necklace, which turns out to be a magnifying glass he got at a museum. They are studying the mold in their classroom, and Harry tells his friends about the kingdom of mushrooms that he discovered on the way to school. His friends beg him to see it, so he promises them they can go during recess. However, when recess arrives, Harry revels that to get to the kingdom of mushrooms, they have to leave the playground, which is against the school rules. Harry talks them into it, even a girl maned Song Lee, who has never broken a school rule before. They see the kingdom of mushrooms, and get back to the playground just as the bell rings. But without realizing it, they track mud all over the classroom's new rug! When their nice teacher Miss Machk, asks who did it, no one says anything. Will the kids own up? Find out the ending by checking this book out form the Children’s Library.

This is the 14th book in a series. The storyline is good and teaches a lesson in the danger of lying.
